Representative Holt's Message

Aloha mai kākou,

Hawaii’s 29th legislative session is now in full swing and the halls of the State Capitol are bustling with legislators and citizens working hard to craft the best laws possible. As Vice Chair of the House Committee of Labor and Public Employment and a member of the Economic Development & Business and Finance Committee, I am excited to serve my constituents in my district and the State of Hawai‘i.

The legislation that has been introduced this session includes exciting opportunities to grow our state’s economy, address the issue of unfunded liabilities with our state’s pension system, reform our prison system and bring higher transparency and accountability to government, especially with respect to our procurement process.

In the upcoming months, I highly encourage you to take a look at our bills and contact our office with any questions or concerns. With the mana‘o of our community, we will be able to finish this session with the best possible policies to move our state forward.
