Representative Holt's Message

We live in remarkable times. Here, at last, are the days when we are seeing intelligent, inspired ideas, once only talked about, become our reality.

In reality, you have the ability to help influence the legislative process. We as Legislators want to hear from you, and if we don't participate and let our voices be heard, there is no one else to blame for new legislation with which you may disagree. Many of our legislators trust you, count on our input and look to you as trusted advisers. Because of that trusted relationship, you are often asked to weigh in on issues before legislation is introduced.

The Hawai‘i State Legislature will begin to vote on those bills that passed our committees and will proceed through the process and be debated on the Senate.  We ask you to continue to be involved in the process as we await the Senate Bills that will come to the House next week and we start the process over.

In my district, many people have been coming out to take pride in our community.  A Special Mahalo to everyone who participated with me in the recent community cleanup efforts sponsored by American Savings Bank, Seeds of Service North Beretania Community Cleanup and Chinatown Improvement Districts, Smith and Beretania Park Cleanup.

Mahalo to you for tuning in and staying connected.
