Walk the Walk
Join or support the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation team at the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in Pittsburgh, PA on May 13th.
Dear <<First Name>>,
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the third leading cause of death in the U.S., affecting more than 350,000 people each year in the U.S., including 7,000 children. Unfortunately, less than 12 percent of victims survive. Thousands more could be saved if someone nearby responded quickly by calling 911, giving CPR, and using the nearest automated external defibrillator to restore a normal heartbeat.
The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, a national community benefit organization based in Pittsburgh, is working to increase awareness about the simple things anyone can do to save a life. If more people understood the importance of immediate bystander intervention in treating sudden cardiac arrest, survival rates could double or triple.
Help raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest by joining or supporting our team at the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on Pittsburgh's North Shore this Saturday, May 13th. Walk the walk with WDVE DJ Sean McDowell, local cardiac arrest survivors, and other advocates as we celebrate lives saved and remember lives lost to sudden cardiac arrest. All funds raised by our team (walkers and donors) will be used to support our mission – raising awareness and saving lives.
Thank you for taking a step for survival!
The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation Team
P.S. You don't need to be in Pittsburgh to support our team. Anyone can create a fundraising page in honor of a loved one or simply make a donation. Thank you for your support.
