What's Happening In the Studio

Looks like a series is being born. The subject is dementia. Most of the images feature a distorted clock. It seems that when asked to draw a clock, people with dementia can't. They mix up or leave out numbers, or pile all the numbers in one quadrant.

These are digital collages, 8 x 8 inches, archival ink on archival paper. " "Forgetting Room I"  is on the left and "Ghost Girl is on the right.

The New Normal

Artist's Spotlight

Soul of an Artist, 32x69x8, Metal & Wood, 2021 by Joe Haden
Maybe thoughts really do have wings. Haden's work has been growing on me for some time. I think of pieces like this as drawings in metal. You can see more of Joe Haden's work at Archway Gallery, 2305 Dunlavy St, Houston, TX 77006. He has a one person show which will be up throught July 7. You can also follow him on Instagram
