Artist's Spotlight: Damon Thomas

This month, I am featuring another one of my favorite sculptors, Damon Thomas. “Contact” is one of 16 installations on view for Sculpture Month Houston. The gallery’s cavelike setting is ideal for this year’s theme, “Altamira: The Primal Urge to Create.” Damon’s installation is his imagining of how humans and wolves first encountered each other in the dark confines of a prehistoric cave.

The installation will be up until Dec. 4 at the SITE Gallery, The Silos at Sawyer Yards, 1502 Sawyer St. Suite 400, Houston, TX
