Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25,26

Hi beloved family! Blessings as you read and listen to the articles and videos from the team. And a quick note about the pictures this month. All are courtesy of the great photographers on Pixabay.com.

My ‘article’ is posted in the video below. Well…not an article, really. More of just a little talk, some music by Chuck and Greg, and prayer. Blessings as you listen!

Much love and many hugs from all of us! Vicky

You are greatly loved by our Loving Father Yah.

No Jesus.........no peace

Know Jesus...........Know Peace

Philippians 4:6
“The Lord is Near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

MESSAGES FROM OUR MINISTRY TEAM

Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living." Luke 15:11-13

I was meditating on this amazing story a few days ago, and something struck me about this young man that I had not seen before. His callousness. His complete self-centeredness reminiscent of so much of the world today - including those within the "church".

All of his life he had lived in his father's care and upbringing, being tended for in all his need, protection, provision, love, peace. But he wanted out. He wanted to go and live it up! He resented the restrictions on his life and wanted to cast off all that had inhibited his behavior by the boundaries set before him in his father's home. He wasn't willing to take care of himself financially while he went away, expecting and demanding that his father provide for his profligate living by giving him his inheritance now! He wasn't going to be around when his father died, and didn't want to miss out.

As I thought about this young man's heart I saw an attitude and mindset that was so self-centered it had no regard for his father, his brother and all those who remained in his father's house. Did he care that his father would grieve over his decision and the loss of the son that he loved so dearly? Not at all. Did he care about the hole he would even leave in his mother's heart (who was not mentioned in the story)? Did he promise to "keep in touch"? - or did he simply turn and walk away from all that had been good in his life not caring about their feelings and the effect that his leaving would have on them? His only thought was to "let it all hang out" and have a "good" time.

What we often don't see, or forget in this story that Jesus told, is that He was talking here about HIS and OUR Father's household, and the Father spoken of was Abba-Father, which makes this ungrateful, unthankful, unappreciative person a son, and child of God who has in actual fact become so hardened by sin and self, that they no longer want to live in the confines of righteousness and the presence of their heavenly Father. Sinful desires so consumed him that he wanted out! He well knew what he was doing, because he had been brought up in the knowledge of the truth of Scripture and the presence of his Abba-Father.

How many of us have done the same thing? - and possibly are still doing the same thing? We don't want to live with the truth and in righteousness any more - it is too restricting and inhibits our "life-style". Those who live this way do so at their own risk. No longer are they under the protection and provision of a loving heavenly Father, but in the world are in the hands of the prince of darkness who controls the world. Could they die in a moment of time? - absolutely. Would God be there to rescue them?- No. The consequences of our choices are ours to suffer. But SO MANY others are affected BY those choices.

I praise God that this young man finally came to his senses and that he remembered from whence he had come, choosing in his absolute need and helplessness to "go home" to his Father. I pray that if there is even ONE person reading this who can relate to this, that they will see from whence they have departed, and the pain and hurt they have caused by living for sin and the need for self-gratification that took them there, and return to the ONLY One who can and truly will forgive and restore them. Is this you? This story in Luke 15 is for you! He truly is the God of restoration and healing!

"IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Hallelujah! Thank You, Father!

Fix Our Eyes

It is so incredible that a hummingbirds wings beat 70 times per second, which adds up to approximately 4000 beats per minute; hence the need for a constant intake of sugar. Likewise, we as humans get exhausted and worn out by the beats of life, flitting about here and there with what often seems like an endless list of things that need done.

Like sugar is to the hummingbird, is the word of God to the Christian. It is his flower unfolded & given that we may drink of it and meditate upon it. It is our strength from day to day and helps us to see what is important. There are so many distractions with all of the things that are going on in the world; earthquakes and wars and rumors of wars, train derailments, plant explosions, prophets turning our attention (eyes) to these things as signs of his coming.

Not that the warning & reminder of his return lack importance. Even Jesus himself spoke of his coming and the events that would take place prior to his appearing; but he told us to "give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard lest we fall away" and to "fix our eyes on him as the author and the finisher of our faith; to keep our lamps (eyes) trimmed and ready & be filled with oil.”

The word of the Lord is that sharp sword that trims the eye, sharpens the discernment and gives oil. All of these things and more will take place and must be fulfilled; let us be even more careful to diligently seek after him and love him with all of our heart and mind soul and strength.

Our body (soul & spirit) are like a car and will go whatever direction our eyes are looking. Keep looking ahead, don't get sidelined by all these other things.

"How sweet are your words to my taste, yes sweeter than honey to my mouth.” Psalm 119:103.
