Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

I can't help but think about some of the things that have happened in my life. I've seen wonderful and tragic things occur, even just in the last several years. The loss of loved ones, the birth of more grandchildren (and now my 5th great grandchild is on the way!), people giving their lives to Jesus...the list is long and full of memories. My life - like yours - is packed full of memories...some wonderful...some bittersweet...some not so good. But they are what they are and we carry them with us on our journeys along life's highway.

I've seen friends come and go - lives changing with the changing times in which we live and so much more. There have been very hard times for so many people and that continues to this day. For example, all we need to do is look at the conditions of the world in which we're living now and we can see the effect it has on all of us. People change...we grow, we win, we lose, we stumble, we fail, we get up and go again. The things we experience can touch us in subtle and profound ways. Even the smallest decision can affect the whole direction our lives will take - much like a little rudder on a huge ship has the ability to set a whole new course for the journey.

But let's not talk about the memories that have already been made. Those have been 'said and done' and must be tucked away inside of us for whatever their future purposes in our lives may be. Rather, let's talk about the memories that we still have some choices about making.

Have faith in God. Believe that you receive when you pray.

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

I have only had two instantaneous healings in my walk with God.

1. I had a horrible migraine when we were going out to witness as a group. I asked the evangelist to pray over me and BOOM! It was gone.
   

2. I was playing the keyboard for a Pastor friend who was holding the church's very first service and I was the only musician. I had Tendonitis and the alter call was really long. My right arm felt like it was going to fall off. After the service I asked the Pastor to pray and BOOM! It was gone.

Many times I had to wait days, months and years for healings to come but I stood fast and never doubted. We can ask for God's favor for a quick healing but sometimes it takes a while.

About 25 years ago a woman I went to church with was in her 70’s. She wore glasses since she was a child but prayed for years that God would restore her eyesight. Well, one day He did and she had 20/20 in her 70s. Don't give up....no matter how long it takes.

MESSAGES FROM OUR MINISTRY TEAM

Sin entered the human heart. Adam and Eve sinned. Immediately their relationship with God was broken. The veil of sin came between the heart and mind of God and the heart and mind of man, and separated ALL of us from Him. SIN ENTERED and God and man parted company. We all went our own way, not because God wanted it that way, but because man wanted his own way. Man wanted to be in control of his life. He wanted to be free from the constraints that God made on him. He found that he had the power and the free will to make his own path in life, but the moment he chose that path he distanced himself from his Creator. No longer was he able to walk and talk with Him in sweet fellowship and trust in His provider and maker. Man has made his own choices and mostly they self-centered and lead into darkness and death. Emptiness entered man's heart. Yet God in His love for us made a WAY! - so that we can come back to Him, and through surrender to Him, we can find that eternal, glorious life that was severed at the Garden of Eden so long ago.

Christ, the SON of God came, "Emmanuel" ('God-With-Us') came to restore and heal that relationship that was broken so long ago.

When Jesus died on the cross, there was a great earthquake and the massive, impenetrable veil in the temple was rent asunder - opening the way for us to return to our Father. His death was not to start a new religion. It was the sacrifice of God Himself to impart His OWN LIFE to mankind, so that what was lost may be found again. Within us is a spiritual "hole" that only God can fill and ONLY through a living, breathing, life-imparting relationship with Him. How can this be? How can those vibrant words of Paul that echo down through the centuries be applied to US so that "I may KNOW HIM!"?

As we enter April, we may all be feeling the desire to leap into Spring… where daffodils and crocus’ and sunshine awaits, suggesting a longer day, brighter season and getting out of the weary winter and into new life – new beginnings?..... But what if you are stuck? All around you might be spring and sunshine; but inside you are anxious, afraid and wounded?

Every one of us has seasons we walk through that will help us to grow and to change us. Sometimes for many different reasons, we get stuck in “one” season. It might be because of bitterness? Someone hurt you and you haven’t been able to let go. It might be you have been sick a long while and wondering…when Lord will I be well again? Maybe you have lost a loved one and don’t know how to carry on without them? Disappointments, Discouragements….In all of these moments of being “stuck” I believe our heavenly Father wants us to know that His Love never ever leaves us! He is always with us in every situation we face! The word the Father gave me to share below; blessed me so much, because I had such a realization that “I can please HIM” with my choosing to believe in the midst of the hard and difficult seasons!

His desire is for all of us to just keep believing in HIM! To trust in Him, in His Goodness, Kindness, Mercy and LOVE…. He will never leave us!!
