You Wanted to Know...

New professionals in any field, be it teaching or plant breeding, are often faced with a variety of challenges and insecurities. Not only are new professionals overwhelmed with the prospect of fitting into a new community in the work place, but they also want to ensure that the work they are committing to is going to make a difference in their field. To ease into this transition from student to worker, many find themselves seeking out the guidance of those more experienced in their fields. The wisdom of a mentor can make the difference in the success or failures of many professionals leaving college and entering the workforce. Check out this video highlighting some of the characteristics of positive mentoring relationship.

The spring 2018 semester is underway on the Iowa State campus, and both Dr. Greg Miller and graduate assistant Miranda Morris are eagerly preparing for visits to the KNUST campus from Sunday, March 11th through Thursday, March 15th, 2018. We are looking forward to visiting with faculty and students on campus at KNUST and hearing more about your educational successes. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
