A look into the past...
Check out this short film we made in 2015, just a year into the Flat 108 project. We really hit the ground running!

April is Autism Awareness Month

Join the National Autistic Society in their Too Much Information campaign.

Right now, they are campaigning to challenge the myths, misconceptions and stereotypes that make autistic people feel so isolated and make society feel so unwelcoming.

The current focus of the Too Much Information public understanding campaign is employment for autistic people.

Where will you make a change for autistic people?

Did you know?
The number 108 has a special significance...
The Sun, the Earth and the Moon

Mathematicians have long seen 108 as a number of the whole existence.
This number connects the Sun, Moon and Earth:
  • The diameter of the sun is 108 times the size of the Earth
  • The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Sun
  • The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Moon
108 has long been considered a sacred number in Hinduism and in yoga.
Buddhist Mala beads
Traditionally, Buddhist Mala beads come as a string of 108 beads, plus one for the guru bead.
Meet Kornel

"I am Kornel and I am 16 years old. I will turn 17 in June. I have a learning disability and I come to Flat 108 to learn stuff like how to find work and how to be more independent. I would like to find a job for myself. I like to go shopping and I like to clean. I like learning new things."
What Kornel said about his time at Flat 108:
"I have enjoyed my time at Flat 108, I was happy to come every Monday because I am interested to learn some skills in my interest to learn to work, to live on my own and use my skills, whilst living with my mum helping with the cleaning and helping to make things easier for my mum. I love to help people and want to find work for myself to help people. I am working on being and trying not to get angry. I want to still come to Flat 108."
