Open Road Special Alert

Today is the last day to voice your opposition to cookie-cutter California standards

Proponents of adopting one-size-fits-all California vehicle emission standards on Colorado have been flooding the Air Quality Control Commission with hundreds of comments.

We need to fight back.

It’s important that we provide some balance and demonstrate that cookie-cutter California standards don’t fit Colorado’s unique driving conditions. It’s vital that we say a surcharge of $2,000 or more on new vehicles is going to hurt Colorado consumers.

Today is the last day to make our voices heard. By noon today, 326 of us have sent messages (see below).

We need more people to get involved.

Please click here now and take a moment to comment to the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission. You don’t have to be an expert on this issue; our online action center will brief you on it and provide an easy way for you to make a comment in just a couple minutes. You can use our messages and add anything else you want the Commission to know.

Please share this alert with your friends and colleagues. Together we can stand up for common sense —  and against the misguided California standards.

Thank you.

The time to take action is now

If you haven’t already commented to the Air Quality Control Commission, please visit DontCalifornicate.CO  today. And please encourage your colleagues, suppliers, employees, friends and neighbors to do the same.

Our online form makes it easy to comment in just a couple of minutes by offering key points you can use. You don’t have to be an expert on the issue; you just need to believe that:
  • One-size-fits-all California standards aren’t a good fit for the unique driving demands of Colorado.
  • Coloradans, not unelected California bureaucrats, are in the best position to decide what type of new vehicle they need.
The window for public comments closes today. (The California emissions standards would definitely qualify as a “trick” not a “treat” for Colorado drivers AND car dealers.)

Please act now and encourage others to do the same to preserve Coloradans’ freedom to drive.

We can’t afford this misguided proposal.
