A holistic health checkin »

I've gone deep on running, weight and nutrition in the past, but this time I talk about the whole. How everything is interrelated, including really surprising things - like deep concentration and digestion! And other things aren't as closely tied as you might expect, like weight and exercise! Read More »

It's disturbing, the kinds of things government officials are trying to do to the internet. It's even a bit hard to understand. The best that I can tell is that it's a lack of understanding about how the internet works, combined with deep faith in the effectiveness of government intervention.

Thoughts...

This week I pushed my first release of the Signal Desktop application to the Chrome Web Store. It feels good to get enhancements and bugfixes out to users. Especially when you introduced the bugs in the first place. :0)

I spent a lot of time this week on scrolling behavior. It was an interesting opportunity to put my recommenations from my Web application test strategy post into action. The project doesn't have many tests, so I've been dutifully adding scenarios to a new manual test cases file. To be honest, I'm not sure those scenarios will ever make their way out of the manual test script. That kind of thing really has to feel right.

Of course, on that front it helps that we use the application every day for communication within the team. I personally have two Chrome Apps (one dev, one production), and two Electron apps (dev, production) paired with my phone, and then another Chrome app (dev) registered standalone with my Google Voice number. It's very cool how messages and read statuses are synchronized across everything!

Until next time!
