The technology side of Agile »

The third entry in my Agile series (Part 1, Part 2). Even if you've modernized all of your team's processes, your application may still fight you every step of the way. The idea is to create a system which encourages quick iteration and learning. The software itself plays a role too! Read More »

http://stateofjs.com/2016/introduction/ - It was quite interesting reading through the results of the "The State of Javascript 2016." The frontend section in particular - React and Angular are negatively correlated, and each come with a set of halo technologies: React with Redux/Webpack, and Angular with TypeScript.

https://www.propublica.org/article/google-has-quietly-dropped-ban-on-personally-identifiable-web-tracking - It's no surprise to me after my time at the Seattle Interactive Conference this week. It's just keeping up with the competition! I went to a session called Getting Personalization Right: How Not to Creep Out Your Customers. The message? https://hackernoon.com/googles-amp-reviewed-as-a-developer-19734198c9b1#.ro0ufqfm5 - Google's Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is something I've known about for a while, but hadn't really dug in. This article is a great overview. I think I'd rather spend time making my full site as fast as possible. Here's a list of AMP optimizations to start implementing.

In happier news, I recently finished watching all 85 episodes of Batman: The Animated Series on Amazon Prime. It was a blast watching it, an award-winning series from the early 90s. Check it out! Just remember that Season 4 is a separate thing: it changes Robin's age and the visual style. :0)

Until next week!
