  • The Bubba Watson show continued to roll over the weekend. Bubba brought up memories of Stephen Ames at one point on Sunday before "cooling off" and winning 7 & 6 over Kevin Kisner. It's his 11th PGA Tour win and first time in his career he's snagged two wins before the Masters, a place he's won at twice. So yeah, Bubba immediately should move to the top of your Masters pool pick if he hasn't already.
  • Imaging standing on a 489-yard par-4 ... you'd be intimidated, right? 489 is a hefty proposition for even the elite golfer, knowing it'll take a solid drive and a good long iron to find the putting surface. Orrrrrr you can be Dustin Johnson, who hit a drive 489-yards during day three of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. The drive came on the par-5 12th, meaning DJ only had 80 yards in, and weirdly enough, the drive won't go down as the longest ever recorded on the PGA Tour because it came in a match play event (totally makes sense!) and the best part? Kevin Kisner halved the hole with him despite being 139 yards back after bunting one 350. Just 350?! It's called a gym, Kisner, maybe you should look it up.
  • VIDEO: Going to be tough to find a combo as good as what Sergio Garcia did on the 12th this past Wednesday. Going for the par-5 in two from 219, Garcia took his shoes off to hit the ball off the cart path, pulled it off perfectly and then, at the very end of the video, got a guy ejected (the PGA Tour's video doesn't have that part at the end and it looks like the Euro Tour edited it, but at the 31-second mark you see Garcia pointing to the cop which resulted in a fan getting the early Uber call home).
  • File this one away in the "things I didn't know about the Masters but do now" folder; Geoff Shackelford explains over at Golfweek about Augusta National not providing the players those all-important green-reading books that you see some of the top-ranked players in the world nose-deep in during play at basically every other event and how players prepare for the opening major without them.
  • Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has built three replica greens in his backyard of TPC Sawgrass' 17th, Augusta National's 12th and Royal Troon's 8th (better known as the Postage Stamp). Not a bad setup. Not bad at all!
  • Tony Romo reminded every ex-athlete that professional golf isn't as relaxing as a hit and giggle round with other amateurs, finishing dead last at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship after rounds of 77-82. Romo was DFL by six shots.
  • Breaking news: Rory McIlroy, not poor

Quote of the Week
"I guess I should never listen to other people. You finish a round of golf and the press and everybody are telling you you're in the Masters, and then you get a text message 10 minutes before you tee off to correct everybody, to say 'oh, we've made a mistake, actually, no, that was wrong, you're not in.'" — Ian Poulter, who was told following his quarterfinals win at the match play he was in the Masters only to find out that was incorrect ... Poulter went to Twitter following his semifinals beatdown by Kevin Kisner to explain how it happened
Your Psycho Scorecard of the Week
A psycho scorecard is one that is generally all over the place - birdies, bogeys, triples, eagles ... we will try and find the most insane of the scorecards each week and post on Mondays, but you can help ... if you see one, screengrab it and tag #psychocard on Twitter)

A quick shoutout to @lostprovisional on Twitter for pointing me to this Harris English second round at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. Starting on 10, English made three birdies AND AN ACE and still wasn't able to break par on his way out. All in all, seven birdies and an eagle and just a round of 3-under 69. Psycho indeed.
