September 12th

This week's Newsletter is to inform you of some exciting up and coming events that you are probably not yet aware of. Please keep an eye out in E-News for more details when we get closer to the date of these great events.
Harvest Collection

On Sunday 7th October 2018, during our 10 am service, we will be featuring 'Harvest Time'.

We will be taking an offering / collection of food items in recognition that it is traditionally 'Harvest Festival' season..

All donations will be personally taken to the 'Hucknall Engage Food Project', which supports local families in Hucknall who struggle to make ends meet.

We will be collecting tinned and packet goods as they cannot give out fresh and perishable items. We are aware that they are often short in the areas of 'CEREALS' and in 'Ladies & Men's TOILETRIES'.

If you can, please make a donation to this great ministry, run by Churches Together in Hucknall, Linby & Papplewick.

Here is a copy of the latest Newsletter from the Hucknall Engage Food Project:

Engage Food Project Newsletter
JULY 2018
As always we must begin by thanking all those who give so generously to the Food Project.  Continuing thanks go to Hucknall churches and schools, we received a very generous donation from National Academy, as well as other organisations and individuals both in Hucknall and in the wider community.  Thank you all for the donations of food and money which enable us to continue to support local people in need.  Since our last Newsletter in January 2018, the average number of parcels given per month continues at 75.
We continue to see people for whom benefit sanctions and changes are a big problem.  As ever only people referred, for example by social services, benefits offices, GPs, churches etc, are given parcels.
Thank you again for your donations of food, all of which should be non-perishable.  We tend to receive fewer donations in the summer months and we are constantly low on stocks of tinned meat, tinned fish but other items, such as tinned vegetables, pasta and sauces, puddings and cereal are always welcome.  Thank you also to those of you who give toiletries, especially toiletries for men, and of course cash which ensures we can buy the items we are short of.
If you wish to help in any way, please contact Ed Rippon on 07748 468805 or
Thank you from Ed and the team at the Engage Food Project.

MacMillan Cancer Relief - World's Biggest Coffee Morning

This year, we will again be supporting the MacMillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning,

All proceeds from cake sales at our 'Connect Coffee House' on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th September 2018 will be donated to MacMillan Cancer Support.

Come along between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm on one of these dates and have a cuppa and a cake with us, or come buy some to take home.

If you are interested in making some cakes to donate, please speak to our 'Coffee House Team'.

Thank you.

We recently enjoyed hearing the life story of Mr Barrie Clarke, hearing about how God had blessed his life and been with him through all of life's up's and down's.

On Sunday the 30th September 2018, we will be hearing the life-story and testimonies of how God has transformed the life of James Fletcher and Cheryl Dunn.

And don't just think it's great for them that God has blessed them. We will hear some stories of how God has been faithful through some very difficult times too!

Come and listen, you may discover something new for yourself.
Our Connect Coffee House is open on Wednesday's Thursday's and Friday's, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, with our children's corner available for young ones to play in, so make sure to pay us a visit!
Our usual midweek events can also be found on our website. Simply go to and click 'Calendar'.
