With all praise to the Lord above, Pope Francis Home and School is very close to providing a home for dozens of children afflicted with HIV. With prayerful support and compassionate donors, PFHS has 70% of the funds needed to build Phase 1 which will encompass two dormitories, a medical clinic, kitchen, and housing for the Reverend Sisters.
The Pope Francis Outreach Program continues to serve children in need in several different capacities. Children with HIV are being cared for by monthly sponsorships; others are receiving tuition assistance. Additionally, several children’s medical bills have been paid. PFHS hosted its annual Christmas Party on December 22 at Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital in Kpando. Over 30 children in treatment for HIV were treated to the party, prayers and two Christmas gifts each.
Blessings were abundant as 2018 ended and 2019 began. Two major gifts were bestowed upon PFHS, as well as several generous donations still arriving. PFHS was chosen again as a recipient of a Cooperative Mission Second Collection at a nearby Catholic Diocese. On March 12th Bishop Joel M. Konzen, S.M., Archdiocese of Atlanta, is hosting an evening to share the mission of PFHS. All are welcome.
Please consider a gift to PFHS towards our goal of building a comprehensive program for the children afflicted with HIV in the Volta Region. For your convenience, donations may be made directly through our website at popefrancishomeghana.org. A check can be mailed to PFHS, P.O. Box 11732, Naples, FL 34102. PFHS is a registered 501© (3).
P.S. - The photo comes from our Christmas Celebration! Many of the children were prayed over by long time missionary Richard.
