In line with Victorian Government requirements community members now need to show proof of double vaccination to access Councils community facilities including swimming pools, Nhill Memorial Community Centre, community halls and Hindmarsh Shire Libraries in Dimboola, Jeparit, Nhill and Rainbow. You can do this via the Services Victoria app or with a printed Vaccination Certificate and photo ID.

Children under 18, or those with an approved medical exemption, will still be able to access services.

To assist our community who are unable to access library services, in person, click and collect services are available along with e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines. Telephone your local Hindmarsh Shire Libraries branch to organise click and collect.

At this stage, Council’s Customer Service Centre in Nhill does not require customers to be double vaccinated, but you are required to wear a mask. Community members needing access to customer services in person can attend the Nhill Customer Service Centre at 92 Nelson Street, Nhill.  Online services are available on our website www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au or telephone 03 5391 4444 for assistance over the phone.

Young Citizen of the Year, Caleb Zanker.

Congratulations to our Australia Day Award Recipients for 2022!
Hindmarsh Shire Council's Deputy Mayor, Cr Brett Ireland, along with Hindmarsh Shire's Australia Day Ambassador, Wesa Chau, travelled to Rainbow, Jeparit, Dimboola and Nhill today to be a part of the Australia Day events that local volunteers held throughout the day.
Although the weather remained sunny and warm for the majority of the day, Nhill's event was unfortunately cut short due to heavy rain and stormy weather.

The recipients of Hindmarsh Shire Council’s Australia Day Awards for Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year were announced in Nhill by Deputy Mayor, Cr Brett Ireland.

Council would like to congratulate the award recipients for 2022:
* Young Citizen of the Year - Caleb Zanker
* Citizen of the Year - Mervyn Schneider OAM

You can read more about our award recipients and their outstanding achievements on our most recent media release at https://www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au/news

We extend our gratitude to the Lions Club of Rainbow, Jeparit Town Committee, Dimboola CWA and the Lions Club of Nhill for hosting these events and to all volunteers who helped throughout the day.
