That Time Of Year Again
It’s that time of year again.
Some of us will celebrate a White Christmas in snowy destinations, others will take off to warmer climes and turquoise waters. Some will visit popular hotspots to party their way into the New Year while others will choose a perfectly sensible 'staycation' to bond with family and friends.
Wherever you prepare to ring out the old and ring in the new, there’s always room for exploration or rediscovery. Amid the twinkling fairy lights and half-eaten plum pudding, the arcs of disco lights or candlelit dinners by the beach, make sure you walk down untrodden paths and discover things anew (and oh, don’t forget the wine).
This festive season, Travel Purist walks down memory lane and takes you to some of our favourite church architecture from around the world. We also bring you a round up of recent stories - Chandan Mahimkar's In Full Bloom from India’s Kaas Plateau, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, and a heartfelt account of what it's like to live in passionate and vibrant Buenos Aires by local purist Mathilde Yvert Rankin.
A big shout out to our contributors and supporters, all in different parts of the world, for sharing their travels with us – Arun Ahuja, Ashima Narain, Blessing Musariri, Chandan Mahimkar, Mathilde Yvert Rankin, Nitisha Agrawal and Sharon Rundle. Thank you. And to our fabulous intern Rhea Bhambhani who set off on her big journey to university in New York.
Happy Holidays everyone, and happier travels!
