February is the month of LOVE.  To celebrate, here are 5 SET DESIGNS that we absolutely LOVE!  We hope they give a little inspiration for your next event.
Broadcast of the 2020 Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum
Coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the forum featured in-depth interviews with leading Democratic Presidential candidates to discuss issues affecting minority communities. The forum was presented in front of a live audience and also broadcast live across various platforms. Due to the nature of the interviews and the fact that candidates continually rotated on stage, a set design that was able to feature dynamic, ever changing content was key. Markey's provided a three LED video wall backdrop to allow the media to be continually updated to match what was being addressed on stage. Check out the video footage, which currently has over 3.5 million views, on the VICE New Facebook page here.
Yep, That's a Waterfall
Our client had the dream of incorporating a waterfall into the center of their set. The Markey's team made it happen by designing a vertical LED wall and carrying the look across the stage with a runner and lights. By using video, audio and lighting together intentionally, we were able to create a virtual waterfall that did not disappoint. Make sure you share your vision and dreams with your event technology partner, even if it seems impossible!
Spirited Inquiry Annual Conference
As with many annual events, the planning team of the featured conference selects a new event theme each year. Each theme is intentional and professionally designed. It includes event brand elements such as logos and graphics. This year's event brand incorporated radiating bursts as part of the graphics. Markey's was able to extend the brand look and feel into the set design by using pixel light bars to mimic the radiating bursts. Incorporating your event brand into all elements of the show makes a great impact on attendees.
Fashion Show Fun
There are many events where the action on stage should be the focal point. In these instances, a clean non-distracting set design is key. For the fashion show featured above, Markey's used AV drop which is a product that consists of clean white modular walls that are often custom branded. For this event, we chose to leave the panels white to not take away from the models walking the runway.
Screen, Screen, Everywhere a Screen
There's not a bad seat in the house!  Knowing their event was being held in a long skinny expo hall and that the thousands of attendees were going to be spread out, some quite far from the stage, our client chose to incorporate multiple large projection screens into the set. This design, coupled with I-MAG technology, allows ALL attendees the ability to clearly see the action on the stage and have the same great event experience as those in the front rows.
