Deadline for registration is Saturday, August 10th, 2019. No late registrations.
Builds Confidence - Just like recitals, a tournament teaches a student how to have confidence in front of an audience. This is a great confidence builder for shy students.
Humbling - For those students who are over confident, tournaments can sometimes be an awakening that it's still necessary to work for what you want. Just because you think doesn't necessarily mean you can do (especially in front of others).
Fun - compete amongst other ISMA students in a fun atmosphere.
Challenging - Those who are the most proficient at their skills will earn medals. Practice, confidence, and performance.
Fair - students compete with others who are close to their same skill level. Judges are higher ranks in the school with knowledge of the events.
Low Pressure - unlike open tournaments, the ISMA school tournament teaches how to compete without the pressures of strict rules and strange competitors from other styles/schools.
Low Cost – Lower tournament registration costs, no spectator fees, no video/camera fees.
Unlike many sporting events and many open tournaments that give everyone an "award" for competition, the Tiger Challenge actually promotes the principle that you have to work to get ahead for the things you want in life and they are not automatically handed to you just because you showed up.
Testimonals from the Parents... The Tiger Challenge was such an uplifting, positive experience. We are so glad that our son insisted that he be able to participate in this activity. The judges, participants, and everyone involved displayed incredible sportsmanship and enthusiasm. The participants all left with a sense of accomplishment and the desire to continue and learn more. We feel ISMA is an organization that our child can learn many of life's lessons from and hope he continues to grow in a positive way from your influence. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
We had an AWESOME time at the Tiger Challenge. Thank YOU for your hard work in organizing it all! It was a great competition and such a good chance for them to experience the highs and lows of tournament action. It was amazing for my husband and I to see how much they've learned. They love to come to your class. We're jealous....we want to take karate class too!!! Thanks again for all that you do for your student. This is a nice event you guys put on! Thanks for leading our children down a rewarding and honorable path! Also, it's really fun to watch and I know our son enjoyed his events! Thank you Ms. Bales and all the judges for a well run competition! Our son really enjoyed himself and was very proud of his medals. I know it takes a lot of work to put a tournament like this together, we really do appreciate it. Thank you for organizing the Tiger challenge. We thought the registration packet was thorough, and the event was well organized. We appreciated your comments at the beginning about good sportsmanship. Please thank everyone involved. We had a great experience!!!!! We did want to thank you for all of the time and effort that you put into the Tiger Challenge. We know that a lot of work goes on, even before the day of an event. Our son had a great time and has his medals hung up around his room. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. Our son was so happy that he went to the Tiger Challenge. Thank you again for the pep talk you gave him. GREAT JOB!!!
