Market Brief: Autumn Property Market in full swing

As summer draws to a close and the new school year starts, the autumn property market is getting into full swing. Both buyers and sellers recognise that there is a short window of about six weeks starting from now to find a property if they want to get moved before Christmas.

With this in mind, we have been busy valuing lots of properties and are anticipating that there will be an increased number of new homes coming onto the market in the next couple of weeks. 

As well as it being a traditionally busy time of the year, there is also a feeling that there will be uncertainty at the beginning of next year as we get closer to Brexit, so if you want to move in the next six months, now is the time to do it!

Meet our sales negotiator, Jo Clayton 


Jo is one of our sales negotiators in our city centre branch. Having been with us for six months now, Jo is fast becoming well known with our clients for her friendly manner and can-do attitude!

As well as handling sales progression in the office, Jo often handles property viewings with potential buyers.

Jo said: “One of my favourite parts of my job is the accompanied viewings. It’s great to hear the potential buyers’ comments first hand and we always find they provide much more honest feedback than if the owner was there.”

New 'Home for Good' campaign officially launched

We are delighted to be the first partner to join the new ‘Home for Good’ campaign which was officially launched by SASH this week.

We will be donating a percentage of our sales fees to the charity to support the vital work they do in helping to prevent youth homelessness in the local community.

Poppleton Branch Coffee Morning - 10th October 

We welcome you to come along to a Coffee Morning at our Poppleton branch on Wednesday 10th October in support of World Homelessness Day. All donations will go to local youth homelessness charity, SASH. There will be slices of cake and cups of tea aplenty so please do come along if you can! 

Don’t forget we also have a permanent second hand book shop in our Poppleton branch once again raising funds for SASH – visitors are always welcome!
