Mental Health First Aid Course
The 2-day Mental Health First Aid Course prepares you to respond confidently to a person who may be experiencing mental health problems or experiencing a crisis.

You will learn more about:
depression
anxiety
psychosis/ schizophrenia
substance use problems

Furthermore, the course covers the best way to respond to the following crisis situations:
traumatic event
severe psychotic episode
suicidal thoughts
panic attack
severe substance use
aggressive behaviour
unconsciousness

As well as covering:
Support services
Phone helplines
Recovery
Boundaries
What if a person doesn't want help?

Most attendees walk away with more confidence and are aware of the many support services out there that can help in a crisis or non-crisis situation.

You also receive the 186-page Mental Health First Aid Manual. It has a plethora of information on mental health problems in Australia and numerous phone numbers, websites and books that can help you or someone else.
