Band Trip 2020
The Ottawa New Horizons Band is pleased to announce its plan for a second performance trip to Europe, scheduled for June 2020. Here is a flyer with details of the trip from our contracted travel company, Ellison Travel and Tours, as well the terms and conditions of travel.
If you are interested in possibly participating in this opportunity, please take some time to go over the documents, and then join your fellow prospective travellers at one of two information sessions presented by Tracey McCormick of Ellison Travel. Tracey will be in the staff room at Brookfield High School on Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 p.m., and in the chapel at Woodroffe United Church on Thursday, March 28 from 11:00 a.m. The presentations will last about one hour, and will include an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the trip.
After Tracey’s sessions, if you are sure you want to participate in the trip complete the “Plan to Go” form (available here in doc or pdf format), and submit it to Steve Snell. Once enough commitments have been received to ensure that the trip is viable, participants will be invited to register online with Ellison, and deposits will be due (see payment schedule on the form).
Some important things to note:
- The trip is open to all ONHB participants from fall or winter of this year and their accompanying partners, subject to available space;
- Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. However, as this is a performance trip, appropriate instrumentation is necessary and may take precedence over order of application. The decision of the band leader and tour organizer shall be final.
